Overview

Tun Abdul Razak Hussein was Malaysia’s second Prime Minister, holding office from 1970 to his untimely death in 1976, while in London receiving medical treatment for leukemia. Known for founding the Barisan Nasional (the coalition of political parties that have been governing the country until this day) and the Malaysian New Economic Policy, he was posthumously given the sobriquet “Father of Development”. The memorial is the very house that was his residence when he was Prime Minister.
